Love Within Limits Each Day

Every day activities matter as points for adults to guide children. Children feel the most safe when boundaries and expectations are clear.


Adults need to shape expectations but also share these with children in ways that express caring for the child. The child should see demands by the adults as part of the child being wonderful and the adults intention to guide and love the child.


In this guide, some basic ideas for setting limits across the day reminds adults their role in being intentional about guiding and caring at the same time. Some call this "warm discipline".

First and foremost, adults need to take responsibility for their child and meet the child's needs in learning to behave.
